The entrance to the cottage is through an arched gate into the pretty courtyard garden. Access is through the conservatory, with steps down into the large kitchen / dining room. The kitchen is of good quality and is fully fitted with integrated appliances including fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine / dryer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave and radio / CD player. A housemaid's cupboard contains cleaning equipment, vacuum, iron and board, games, etc. The dining area is furnished with antique pine country furniture. There is also a cloakroom with wc and wash basin. Double doors lead to a spacious, light and airy sitting room with electric woodburner. Comfortable sofas, beautiful curtains and cushions and lamps to read by make this a very appealing room to spend time in. There is also a TV and DVD player.

An easy, straight staircase to the first floor landing gives access to the two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The double room is restful and attractive, with a quality double bed, co-ordinated headboard and curtain fabric and antique pine furniture, as well as good lamps for reading and TV with DVD player. The twin room is very pretty and has a pair of single beds, again with co-ordinated headboard and curtain fabric and antique pine furniture. Both rooms have hairdryers. The upstairs bathroom provides a wc, wash basin, bath and separate shower cubicle with power shower. Ample storage and additional hanging space are provided in the landing cupboard.

Outside is a secluded, well stocked, pretty courtyard with garden furniture.

Stow-on-the-Wold offers a large selection of pubs and restaurants serving a wide variety of excellent food, all within easy walking distance of Barn Cottage, so you won't need to cook on holiday unless you want to. Local shops include two good delicatessens, a health food shop, a quality butcher and a supermarket.
